Oxford is a world-renowned city famous for its University with dreaming spires and rich history of teaching and learning. Workshop attendees can easily reach Oxford via rail (national rail network and European connections via Eurostar to London St. Pancras International). Oxford rail station is a short taxi ride or 15 minute walk (1.3 km) from the venue. Attendees can also easily reach Oxford via plane: Birmingham and Southampton airports are accessible by train, London airports (Gatwick, Heathrow, Luton and Stansted) can be reached via coach. The bus station is 10 minute walk from the venue (650 m). 

Venue for the scientific programme

Founded in 1610, Wadham College is an example of Jacobean architecture located in the centre of Oxford, close to the iconic Sheldonian Theatre and Ratcliffe Camera. Wadham College hosted the first meetings which led to the foundation of the Royal Society.  At both sides of the historical quadrangle, attendees can enjoy beautiful large gardens.

Talks will be delivered in the Holywell Music Room (the first custom-built concert hall in Europe), separate rooms will be dedicated to poster exhibition and breaks, with catering provided by the college staff. Disabled access is possible to all facilities either directly or through a lift.


Accommodation

All attendees can be accommodated in single bedrooms in Wadham college (predominantly shared bathroom). Meals are also locally provided: breakfast and the Conference dinner in the main Hall, lunches will be served in the modern refectory, closer to the poster/talk venues.
